Interreg 30 years: Eurocity Chaves-Verín is the selected POCTEP project

The Eurocity Chaves Verin (0212_EUROCIDADE_2020_1_E project) will represent the Interreg Spain-Portugal Programme at Interreg 30 exhibition and publications.

Over the years, Interreg has become the key instrument of the European Union to support cooperation and build trust across borders. The objective is to face common challenges and find shared solutions, whether in the field of health, research and education, unemployment, transport, sustainable energy or climate change, to improve the quality of life of citizens.

The initiative turns 30 in 2020 and a number of events will be added to celebrations throughout Europe. The Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, opened them on January 23 in Madrid, presenting the Spain-Portugal Programme in a video that you can see here: http://bit.ly/elisa_ferreira_interreg30
